Health management of show horses using instrumental biocommunication

by Sabine Heüveldop

What has long applied to humans is now fast gaining importance in equestrian sport: the basis for health, performance and success is the physical and mental fitness of animal and man. This realization has led in the last few years in the equestrian scene to a constant growth of sensitivity to the sporting health of the horse as both athlete and sporting partner. Ralph-Michael Rash is looked on as the guarantor for the conscientious and successful training of horses and riders at the highest level. This renowned trainer has integrated instrumental biocommunication in his operating concept on the “Hesselhof” in Warendorf, a training center for international dressage sport. His motto: “Only a horse that feels well can operate at peak performance!”

In the area of instrumental biocommunication, the Hesselhof is the responsibility of Anja M. Mootz. The experienced therapist introduced Ralph-Michael Rash a few years ago to the wide-ranging possibilities of instrumental biocommunication using QUANTEC®. The positive effects on individual horses as well as on the entire setup persuaded the initially skeptical trainer to include QUANTEC® in the management of his operation.

All horses on the Hesselhof enjoy individual and highly qualified equestrian support. The achievement-oriented training, from breaking-in up to successful appearances in Grand Prix trials, takes place according to the principles of classical riding instruction. This is complemented by support from instrumental biocommunication as a measure that accompanies competition and training. The aim is the optimization of physical condition and a harmonization of the psychic equilibrium of the animals.

How can QUANTEC® actually support sport horses that are so exclusively looked after

In the big championships, it is not only the physical performance of the horse as athlete that counts. The animals also have to have an enormous psychic strength and be able to bear the strain for several days. In certain circumstances, the pressure to achieve can be a great burden on the psyche of a horse. In such cases particularly, radiation with QUANTEC® can have a very positive effect. Additionally, every event has its own constellations that can cause problems. These include special climatic conditions such as excessive heat, which can lead to a high loss of liquid and thus to fast fatigue on the part of the horses, or continuous rain. Cold wet weather leads to back tension, and the resulting difficult ground conditions mean problems for the locomotor apparatus of horses. Unfamiliar stables, with unknown horses and people, or stress caused by an emotionally charges public are distress factors. Here, intensive support is required before and during the competition period to guarantee constant sporting success. Already during the training period, the horses are so well prepared that they are physically and mentally equal to their demanding tasks. These include the stabilization of the cardiovascular function, the strengthening of the immune system, as well as psychological balance.

QUANTEC® is deployed both analytically and therapeutically:

1. Complementary compensation of deficits (orthomolecular)

The main components of the fodder, even where the quality is basically high, are often insufficient to ensure optimal feeding. Moreover, vitamin, mineral and trace element requirements vary according to the age, workload and health of the animals. An analysis with QUANTEC® can for example provide information about vitamin, mineral and trace element deficits in the diet. This can then be compensated in the form of food additives or radiation or in a combination of von food additives and corresponding radiation.

2. Parasite management

The intestines play a big role in ensuring an efficient immune system. The QUANTEC® analysis helps in inspecting and combating the parasite status of every horse. The practice of worming on the broadside principle is still widespread. But the advantage of targeted worming is that the horses can be spared the chemical mace in the form of conventional worm cures. In practice this means, for example, that if there are no tapeworms, no tapeworm antidote has to be administered.
If the use of worm cures is unavoidable, the intestines can at least be treated by corresponding radiation.

3. Remove energy blocks

Horses exposed in sport to frequent transport, alternating tournament grounds and a high pressure to achieve can be strengthened in their psychological equilibrium so much that they can handle these strains well. With radiation to remove energy blocks, the therapist uses databases of acupuncture, Bach flowers or Australian bush flowers. Other databases relate to work with symbols, mantras or affirmations such as: “I am the winner, I am successful, I am healthy.” For the analysis, the information about the horse collected using the diode is compared with the computer databases, thus revealing possible imbalances and blocks. These can then be removed with appropriate radiation (see also Comed 07/06 and 09/06). Sufficient sleep is also very important for regeneration in high-performance horses. To promote good sleep, Anja M. Mootz radiates the horses every evening for two or three hours with Passiflora D1/D2, including during tournaments, where the horses have to calm down in unfamiliar surroundings. Radiation can be controlled according to the time of day.
The promotion of peace and calmness as well as the stabilization of the circulation also helps to reduce the risk of colic.

4. Neutralizing geopathological disorders and relieving or removing old problems

At tournaments, horses are often kept in stables that were in some conditions put up indiscriminately. Geopathological disorders can be traced and neutralized with the help of appropriate database queries, the result of which are used to relieve the burden of the unfamiliar surroundings on the horses. A problem during transport or in an unaccustomed environment is that some horses refuse to drink enough water. Some animals simply cannot take the water. In such cases too, the therapist can intervene with QUANTEC® and regulate and directly influence the water quality.

Regarding the strengthening of the immune system, inoculation complications must be taken into consideration. Since horses taking part in tournaments are subject to mandatory vaccination, radiation with Teucrium starting with the day of the inoculation and continuing for at least 2 weeks can reduce complications.

5. Promoting physical fitness

In addition to the support described here for heart, circulation and psyche, a very important preparation for tournaments is the targeted radiation of tendons, ligaments and joints (organic preparations) in varying potencies (D3, D4, D6, D12, D15, D30, D200) to reduce the risk of injury. The same applies to the intervertebral discs.

As rider and trainer Ralph-Michael Rash sums it up: “The analysis with QUANTEC® simplifies for me particularly the assessment of horses that come to us for training and whose history is unknown to us. I can apply myself much better to these horses and train them much more efficiently.” The latest and very special success of the QUANTEC®-supported concept on the Hesselhof is the bronze medal of the Rheinländer Wallach Lancelot in this year’s Federal German Championships in Warendorf.
